The courses offered in the MCSE Certificate program are ideally suited for systems engineers, technical support engineers, systems and network analysts, and technical consultants with the following experience:

CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent knowledge and skills. This includes detailed knowledge in personal computer components, laptop and portable devices, operating systems, printers and scanners, networks, security, safety and environmental issues, and communication and professionalism. CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent knowledge and skills. This includes detailed knowledge in media and topologies, protocols and standards, network implementation, and network support. For more details, visit www.comptia.org.
Students enrolling in the MCSE Certificate program must demonstrate CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ skills or equivalent knowledge through successful completion of a challenge exam or submission of both CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications. Students unable to satisfy this requirement must complete Kaplan Continuing Education’s Information Technology and Network Technician course. There will be no charge to the student for either the challenge exam or the Information Technology and Network Technician course.
