Designed to help prepare students to sit for the CCDA certification exams,* the 6-month, online program covers the implementation of VLANs, spanning tree protocol in a hierarchical network, inter-VLAN routing and implementing gateway redundancy technologies, configuring wireless client access, configuring security features in a switched network and support for voice. The CCDA Certificate program also covers methodologies used to design a network, network structure and modularity, designing basic enterprise campus networks, designing Enterprise Edge and remote network modules, designing IP addressing and routing protocols, designing security services, voice networking considerations, and wireless networking considerations.

After the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, CCDA certification is the next step toward achieving the Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) certification, a highly respected IT certification.

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Three years of experience with Cisco equipment and LAN, WAN, and wireless networking is recommended.

Students enrolled in the certificate program will complete two courses:
