Online Veterinary Assistant Certificate Program
The online Veterinary Assistant Certificate program is geared for those who love caring for animals and are interested in becoming a member of the veterinary health care industry.
The Veterinary Assistant Certificate program and online courses were developed by individuals in the industry with real-world experience to help students gain the knowledge and skills potential employers expect, such as veterinary terminology, client communication and scheduling, and more.
Students in the online veterinary assistant certificate program are taught key terminology of the veterinary profession; study animal health issues and diseases; are taught how to assist in emergency care, physical exams, surgery; and study to develop skills in office procedures such as obtaining health histories and records. Other online courses in the veterinary assistant certificate program explore animal physiology, pharmacology, animal behavior, and sanitation procedures.

This program is intended for individuals who possess a high school diploma or GED. The online Veterinary Assistant Certificate program consists of 8 classes that are to be completed within 12 months.
