Online CPR Recertification for the Professional Rescuer

Professional Rescuer CPR Recertification is an interactive course designed to provide recertification for physicians, first responders and health care professionals.  You will be taught the knowledge and skills to recognize and provide care in respiratory and cardiac emergencies, using the latest CPR and emergency cardiac care guidelines. In this course for recertification you will study how to perform rescue breathing and one-rescuer and two-rescuer CPR, how to use airway adjuncts, and how to operate an automated external defibrillator (AED).

KCE, in partnership with Jones and Bartlett Learning and their medical publishing partners, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), presents the training materials for online CPR recertification in an easy-to-understand format. And with our online CPR recertification program,* students must play an active role in learning CPR skills. By having the students interact with the online program, they can easily review the required information.

The Professional Rescuer CPR program is accredited by the AAOS. The American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons is a leader in the emergency care field and one of the most respected names in injury, illness, and emergency medical care. In 1972, the AAOS pioneered EMS education by publishing Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured, the first EMS training program available.

Students receive an acknowledgement upon successful completion of the knowledge components and the written exam, but they do not receive a course completion card until they have completed the skills portion of the course with an instructor. This is completed with an educational center or institute instructor who is able to issue the official wallet-sized course completion card.  The recertification of CPR for the professional rescuer is accomplished with the completion of the online classes and the skills section with an instructor.

CPR course completion cards are valid for 2 years.
