EC 101: Fundamentals of Executive Coaching
This online course introduces the learner to the profession and essential executive coaching concepts, including the historical roots of coaching, professional coaching organizations, codes of ethics governing the profession, strategies, and professional certification competencies and processes. The course includes an overview of the coaching stages and processes used with clients, and also introduces the Mastery focus that is essential for both coach and client.

EC 102: Coaching Process and Essential Skills
This course introduces the essential stages and processes used in an executive coaching engagement as well as the crucial skills to successfully complete the work of each stage. The course focuses on the coaching conversation and the stages of coaching (including entering, contracting, assessing, ongoing coaching, and concluding the engagement). Skills emphasized include artful listening and questioning; assessing the client’s strengths, needs, and coachability; using instrumentation; giving feedback; and developing a powerful coaching presence.

EC 103: Coaching for Personal Mastery
The focus of this course is the essential knowledge, tools, and practices necessary to coach from a Mastery model, and taking into account the multiple dimensions of human behavior (cognitive, physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual). The course focuses on the development of the coach as well as the application to the client’s development. Lessons include the context of human change processes and blocks to change; how human psychology impacts coaching and development and requires self-management; working to understand and shift habits of thinking and story making; coaching emotions and moods to create action, using strengths and building resilience, and using specific practices with yourself and with clients.

EC 104: Coaching for Interpersonal Mastery
This course is an in-depth examination of language (verbal and nonverbal) and its impact on relationships and leadership effectiveness. Learners will develop knowledge and skills needed for observing, recognizing, and intervening in conversations and relationships that allow coaches and leaders to be maximally effective when mastered. Lessons include kinds of leadership conversations; the six language components that produce or impede action; using the Cycle of the Promise to map relationship and action breakdowns and produce effectiveness; conducting conversations to repair relationships; and skills for creating congruity and effectiveness in clients and self.

EC 105: Coaching for Leadership Mastery
This course is an in-depth study of the key characteristics and resulting behaviors that effective leaders must master. Learners will develop an understanding of the critical importance of mastery in the key areas of authenticity, accountability, intention, courage, and alacrity. Students ascertain how to coach leaders to understand organizational culture and effectiveness. Lessons include how to coach leaders to develop the key areas, as well as models and methods for coaching leaders to develop high-performing cultures that strengthen business results.

EC 106: Coaching for Team Mastery
This course provides an overview of the essential knowledge needed to coach leadership teams, a critical component of the highly skilled practitioner’s coaching repertoire. Lessons include an overview of the work, development, and common obstacles facing executive teams and how their work differs from other organizational teams; the process of contracting for and conducting successful leadership team development; methods of assessing team effectiveness; and coaching teams as they work together.

EC 107: Integrative Cases and Practice
This course focuses on ways to integrate the learning from this program to create executive coaching strategies and a long-term plan for coaching individuals and teams. The lessons introduce case studies exemplifying the variety of challenges, both individual and group, that the beginning and seasoned executive coach faces.

EC 108: Developing an Executive Coaching Practice
This course examines the ways that executive coaches market and develop their practice areas. Lessons include examining the challenges of developing an executive coaching practice, how to describe and communicate the value of executive coaching, selecting communication strategies and vehicles, developing a specialty niche, and building on your current expertise and experience.
